Aapley Paryavaran: Film festival
Film is a very popular art form liked by everybody. It has a great potential to reach out to people of all age groups and the level of education of a viewer does not become a constraint in the message. With this in mind our organization has made a large collection of documentaries about environmental issues.
- For last two years we have been arranging film festivals in Mumbai and Thane.
- It is attended by many people. The viewers find the films enlightening.
- We intend to expand this activity manifold by arranging such festivals in adjoining towns and educational institutions..
- Major film festivals are organized in the first week of June as a part of World Environment Day celebration in Mumbai and in the month of December in Thane. Thousands of students and people in general have attended these festivals so far.
- We screen short documentaries and full length films. We encourage students and common people to make the films on their own.
